How it works

We've tried to make shopping online with Southern Sky as easy as possible.

You can browse through all products, or look at them in collections like our club cheddars, our double-cream layered bries, halloumi and so on.

If you like what you see and want to buy, add them to your cart. If you want more than a single item of any product, add as many as you like to your cart.

When you're ready, go to our checkout, where you can use your preferred card for a secure payment and set the order in motion.

WHAT HAPPENS THEN

You'll be asked to enter name, address etc as well as prompted for your payment details.

You'll be asked to fill in address details for delivery: please double-check those details are correct to save problems down the track.

It's ideal if someone is home during business  hours when deliveries are made but obviously that's not always possible.

Australia Post will leave your cheese, assuming they consider it safe to do so. As outlined below, you can leave special instructions with us if you have a special spot, like an esky, for your cheese.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

There is an option at the checkout for you to include any special delivery instructions. For example, if want your cheese left near the front door, tell us. If  you want the order placed in your esky near your front door - which is a great idea - specify that and we can pass it on to Australia Post.

We'll pack most of our orders by Wednesdays for delivery on Thursday so it's best to get your order in by 9am on Wednesday. However, in busy times we might send orders more frequently.

If you need an order sent to you on a special day, include that request in the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELLER section and we'll do our best to make it happen.

If, for some reason, we can't fill an order, we'll provide a close alternative or get back to you by email.

DELIVERY

We're using Australia Post to deliver your cheese using ExpressPost. That means we can get you cheese to you the day after we pack it.

However, there are some areas even Express Post can't reach overnight and if there are transport problems, it is possible your cheese could be held up.

While the cool packs and packaging will keep your cheese fine for 24 hours, we can't guarantee its condition beyond that.

If you're in an area without next-day delivery, you might need to consider  your options.

We'll include a tracking number when we pack your order, so you should be able to check in on progress.

HOW IT'S PACKAGED

Our cheeses like to be treated well and we do our best to keep them happy.

All our online orders will be packed with cool packs and your cheese is sealed in an insulating wrap. This is to ensure it is in good condition when it reaches you, but obviously store it in the fridge as soon as you can to prolong shelf life.

DELIVERY TO WORK: JUST AN IDEA

It might not be possible for everyone, but for many customers you might want to consider getting your cheese delivered to work, especially if you can put it in the fridge straight away. Deliveries are made during normal business hours.

SENDING CHEESE AS A GIFT

It's another great idea. The ordering/shipping form has an option for  you to specify a delivery address that is different from the billing address.

ANY QUESTIONS

If there's anything we haven't covered here, if you want some help navigating our site or even if you just have general questions about cheese, drop us a line at esales@southernskycheese.com.au. We might not have every answer but we'll do our best to get back to you one way or the other!
