THE HOT CHEESES OF 2018

THE HOT CHEESES OF 2018

It's been a huge year for us here at Southern Sky Cheese Company, so we thought the last day of the year was a good chance to look at which cheeses proved most popular through 2018.

We also want to thank everyone who has supported us this year and wish you all a safe and happy 2019.

While we move a lot of cheese through our distributors, the weekly Harvest Market in Launceston is still a fantastic opportunity to meet customers - many of them interstate visitors - and hear first-hand what they love. It's also a good reflection of how our range sells overall.

Overall, our truffle layered brie and truffled cheddar are huge sellers, although it's a little different at a market.

Our halloumi - both the traditional halloumi and hickory smoke and garlic halloumi - were easily the big Saturday sellers, followed by our truffle layered brie.

Although our online store has only been operating for a few weeks, truffle layered brie is the top pick there so far.

Just for interest, here's how the cheese league table looked at the end of 2018.
